Amid Homelessness Crisis, Major Advocacy & Labor Groups Release Report Demanding Action from New York State

Homelessness is at a record high in New York City, and advocates and labor unions have grown increasingly frustrated with Governor Cuomo’s inaction to address the crisis. In a new report, New York Needs a 21st Century Homeless Plan, leading homeless advocates Community Service Society and VOCAL-NY, along with the city’s largest public sector union DC37, outlined a bold vision for tackling the growing homelessness crisis that has devastated New York City’s must vulnerable residents.
