We believe in supporting a broad-based movement for social justice that unites diverse communities and issue areas. Addressing the root causes of HIV/AIDS, the war on drugs and mass incarceration requires working towards more just, livable and safe communities where people can realize their basic human rights.
Highlights of the coalitions and alliances we actively participate in:
National People’s Action is a Network of community power organizations from across the country working to advance a national economic and racial justice agenda.
Pushback Network is a national collaboration of indigenous, grassroots organizations and networks committed to building bottom-up, state-based alliances that change both the composition and levels of participation of the electorate.
New York Stimulus Alliance (NYSA) is a coalition of six organizing networks, multi-chapter organizations, and four policy/research partners who have joined together for the purpose of tracking federal stimulus money coming into NYS and maximizing its positive impact for marginalized communities.
Right to the City (RTTC) is a national alliance of membership-based organizations and allies organizing to build a united response to gentrification and displacement in our cities. RTTC’s goal is to build a national urban movement for housing, education, health, racial justice and democracy.
